The pricing of the budget wedding photo/video package

Hourly rate

The pricing for your budget wedding photo and video package is very simple. It's $200 per hour* of on-location time. You determine the amount of time you want me onsite at your wedding. You can go as little as 1 hour, though I suggest 2 hours minimum to get the most bang for your buck.

*reflects direct order reservation (non-referral) discount. If referral, 20% markup referral fee additional. Mileage charges additional. Various deliveries on media additional.

Media Delivery Services

  1. CD burns $7 per CD
  2. transfer to DVD $35 per DVD
  3. original digital video footage $45 per tape

Note: original footage, if not purchased by the day of the wedding, will not be available for purchase at any later date. No storage services are offered.

Deluxe Service: 16:9 progressive scan option

  1. 16:9 progressive scan option for $150. Make your video documentation look like it was shot on film.

Video documentation is normally shot as 3:4 interlaced NTSC video. For an extra charge, your video documentation can be shot as 16:9 progressive scan footage.

For those not so technically inclined, 16:9 is widescreen television. Shooting in 16:9 means your video footage can be mastered on a 16:9 DVD and can then be displayed on a 16:9 widescreen television and will fill the wide screen. When you play the same 16:9 DVD on a standard NTSC television, it will present your video as a letterboxed image with black bars at the top and bottom.

Progressive scan means that your video will result in a more filmic look and sharper image since it will not contain the artifacts of NTSC interlaced video.

Booking Your Date

Booking your wedding date requires a 20% deposit. All online credit card payments require a 5% online payment processing fee.

Requirements

You must provide a work table at an indoor reception area where equipment can be set up to do any CD or DVD transfers. The table needs to be stationed at a low-traffic area with accessible electrical outlets nearby. Stable electricity needs to be provided.

To optimize your photo/video package and give you the most value for on-location time, the photographer/videographer will often be transferring photos or footage from one camera while going off to shoot additional photos or video with the other camera.

Because equipment at times will be unattended, it is necessary for client to provide adequate security for the location where the work table is provided. If the ceremony and reception are in different locations - unless a security person is provided whose job is to keep watch over the equipment - it may be necessary for the producer to carry equipment around with him at the ceremony via carry bags and a backpack.
